Partner Tech Europe supplies hardware for the Colruyt Group's Easy Checkout system.

Partner Tech Europe, together with the Colruyt Group, has successfully developed and launched the innovative Easy Checkout system. The new, supported self-checkout solution combines modern hardware technology from Partner Tech with Colruyt Group's intelligent software. The aim is to make the payment process simpler, more ergonomic and more efficient – for customers and employees alike.

The Easy Checkout system is currently being gradually rolled out in Belgian stores. Within just ten months, the teams of both companies developed the final hardware, tested it extensively and prepared it for mass rollout – a result of close, trusting cooperation.

The system uses smart cameras to automatically recognize barcodes and QR codes. In the next phase of development, artificial intelligence and a comprehensive image database will make it possible to identify products even without codes. The solution is thus an important step towards the digital transformation of retail.
