Partner Tech Europe and ANKER Group secure the reverse vending systems Bottlecomp

Anyone running a bottleComp reverse vending system can plan ahead again. Partner Tech Europe and the ANKER Group are jointly acquiring the rights to the bottleComp systems – technology and patents included. The technology stays available, and the installed base gets a clear home.

The background is the insolvency of Trautwein SB Technik GmbH. Together with its manufacturing subsidiary Loetec Elektronische Fertigungssysteme GmbH, the company filed for insolvency on 19 March 2026. Proceedings were opened on 1 May 2026. A few weeks later, the solution is here.

Partner Tech Europe and the ANKER Group are taking over all rights to the bottleComp systems, the underlying technology and the associated patents. As a first step, Partner Tech Europe focuses on what matters now: keeping the existing systems stable. Retailers with installed bottleComp systems get a service and maintenance concept that secures operation and protects investments already made.

Work on the future runs in parallel. Together with Deutsche Pfandsystem GmbH (DPG), Partner Tech Europe and the ANKER Group are driving the recertification of the installed system base for the period from 2027. The ANKER Group is completing the necessary approval and certification processes to become a certified manufacturer of reverse vending systems. The regulatory groundwork is laid early – so the existing base can be operated, supported and developed further over the long term.

The reverse vending market is growing across Europe. New regulatory requirements and the rollout or expansion of deposit return schemes in many countries are driving demand. At the same time, the market is consolidating: fewer providers remain.

That is exactly where Partner Tech Europe and the ANKER Group see the opportunity. An established installed base, real market acceptance and new technological and organisational strength come together. bottleComp is set to play a firm role in the European reverse vending landscape. Once the installed systems are stabilised, the ANKER Group plans to develop the technology strategically and, in time, offer new machines based on the existing platform.
